Who We Are

Big Sky Acres is a small acreage farm in the high desert of Northern Arizona. 
We stepped into farm life with practically no experience, and have learned so much. We started with a few fiber goats, and now raise chickens, ducks, dairy goats, fiber goats, and Colorado Mountain Dogs.
While challenging, life on the farm has given us a connection to God and all of his glorious handiwork that we hadn't known we were missing.

Colorado Mountain Dogs

Even in the middle of town, our small acreage farm is surrounded by predators. We typically see coyotes and skunks, along with an occasional mountain lion and even a bear!
Our lines have been carefully chosen for their love of people and their guarding instincts.
We are striving for the Caspian Mountain Dog standard and are pleased to announce that our very own BSK Lavender has earned this designation!

Colorado Mountain Dogs

We have chosen Colorado Mountain Dogs as the breed of livestock guardian dogs to protect our farm and family. We have come to absolutely love this breed. They have the perfect combination of calming essence and fierce guardian instincts.

Fiber Goats

Our Pygora goat herd is a gorgeous mix of colors. They have high quality luxurious fiber along with friendly, quirky personalities. They are perfect for small farms like ours.

Dairy Goats

Nubians and Nigerian Dwarf goats joined our farm last year. Goat milk has many health benefits and is a great replacement to cow's milk for our dairy intolerant family members. Their fun personalities have been an added bonus!
